Beaufort County has been awarded funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to install water and sewer infrastructure within Beaufort County's jurisdictional boundaries. The Beaufort-Jasper Water & Sewer Authority (BJWSA), in partnership with the County of Beaufort have agreed to use ARPA funding to plan, permit, design, and construct a water line extension along Morgan Road between Trask Parkway and Keans Neck Road in the BJWSA Service Area. Questions Due Date: Apr 29th 2024, 2:00 PM EDT Exhibit 1 illustrates the corridor alignment for the water line extension along Morgan Road between Trask Parkway and Keans Neck Road, and Exhibit 2 illustrates the approximate geographic extent of flood hazard areas and wetland areas within the corridor alignment along Morgan Road The Project scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the planning, permitting, design, property acquisition, and construction of approximately 11,000 linear feet of water line, the installation of 75 water service laterals from the new water main to the private property boundaries located along the water main alignment, in addition to all required hydrants, valves, and special fittings required to provide public water service for the Project area. The Project scope of work does not include the installation of new water meters to connect parcels to the new water mains, as Beaufort County will work with individual property owners later, under a separate project, to install new water meters, connect the water meters to residential structures located on properties, and disconnect existing onsite water supply wells connected to residential structures on individual properties.
