Description of Work: The Project consists of replacing the sanitary sewer, water main, and street on N. Court Street from West Adams Street to Lewis Street. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. Bidding documents will be made available to Prospective Bidders after Wednesday, April 24, 2024. Bidding Documents may also be examined at the office of the City of Platteville, at 75 N. Bonson Street, Platteville, Wisconsin 53818, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. CST. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. The OWNER reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity of any item or portion of the work, or to omit portions of the work, as may be deemed necessary by the OWNER, and the same shall in no way affect or make void the contract, except those additions to, or deductions from, the contract price will be appropriately made. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities, or to reject any or all bids, or any part of a bid, and to award the Contract to the Bidder, who in the judgment of the OWNER, will best serve the interest of the OWNER. A pre-bid conference will not be conducted, and bidders will not need to be prequalified. The Work will be substantially completed on or before November 22, 2024, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before December 13, 2024.
