Location of Work The site of the work to be performed under the Contract is located within Ocean County's Northern Recycling Facility located at 611 New Hampshire Avenue, Lakewood, Ocean County, New Jersey. The purpose of this bid package is to provide the County of Ocean with a Contractor who will perform the work described and specified herein. The County reserves the right to reject all bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2, to waive any informalities in the bid and to accept the lowest responsible bid in accordance with applicable law. Project to be completed within 180 calendar days of Notice to Proceed. Project to have a Liquidating Damage Clause of $500.00 per day after date of Contract completion. Project to start on or about June 2024. Question Submission Deadline:May 6, 2024, 5:00pm The project includes: a. A new fire pump for the single stream building. b. The existing fire pump room is not to code and so a new fire pump room is to be constructed. c. New men's and women's restrooms. d. Deluge sprinkler system for single stream building's tipping floor e. Additional sprinkler heads for single stream's processing room and outdoor canopy area f. Additional sprinkler heads for commingled building g. Remove and replaces fire alarm strobes and horns. h. Mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work. 16. Site Access: Contractor to provide a schedule of anticipated work hours. Site access will be coordinated with Atlantic Coast Recycling, so they have the work areas clean for the Contractor. Contractor to assume only 1/3 of the tipping floor will be clear of recyclables and accessible at a time.
