Site work and new construction of a residential development in Dubuque, Iowa. Completed plans call for the construction of a 1,280-square-foot, two-story above grade residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
The City of Dubuque is accepting bids from qualified contractors to construct a single-family home (blueprints and specifications provided) on an infill lot located at 2527 Washington Street in Dubuque, IA. Construct a 1280 square foot 2 story home described by the blueprint (Exhibit A) and the associated structure and lot specifications (Exhibit B) on the vacant lot at 2527 Washington St. All questions regarding the RFB and the scope of work shall be directed to: Shane Hoeper - Combination Inspector shoeper@cityofdubuque.org 563.690.6091 For any bid exceeding $25,000.00, a 100% payment and performance bond and oneyear maintenance bond is required at or prior to contract signing. (Sample of bond can be found as an attachment to the Invitation to Bid and obtained from your insurance provider) Provide BID SECURITY or BID BOND (5% of total bid) with bid. The required bid security will be returned as soon as possible to all but the selected bid. The selected bidder will have the bid security returned after the Payment, Performance and Maintenance bond is received at contract signing. Payment can be in the form of a cashiers check, certified check or a bid bond (obtained from insurance provider).
