The City of Salem, Virginia, is requesting sealed bids from qualified Bidders to provide on call, as needed brush, tree and clean wood grinding and chipping services in order to reduce the material. The City of Salem reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn after opening except for clerical errors, as set forth in Section 2.2-4330 of the Virginia Code. Offeror must give the City a notice in writing of the request to withdraw a bid within two (2) business days after conclusion of opening. The City may terminate the Contract, in whole or in part, without cause upon giving a thirty (30) days written notice to the Successful Bidder. SUCCESSFUL BIDDER'S RESPONSIBILITY: The Successful Bidder shall be responsible for the work requested. No portion of the work shall be subcontracted without prior written approval from the City.
