Bid cancelled due to no bids being received. The District Municipality of Muskoka ("District") is inviting prospective bidders to submit bids for renovations to (5) spa/shower rooms located in the Resident Home Areas at The Pines Long-term Care home. Bids are to include all Labour, Material and permit fees needed to complete the project. The long-term care home located at 98 Pine Street in Bracebridge is a 160-bed, two-storey wood framed facility constructed in 2004. The Spa Rooms are approaching the end of their service life and out of compliance with the most recent Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care design guidelines (2015) and Ontario Building Code regulations (2016). The rooms have an institutional appearance with exposed plumbing, obsolete fixtures, outdated ceramic finishes, drop-in tile ceilings, poor air circulation and, in isolated locations, damaged painted gypsum board walls.
