Bid Option 1: Open cut water main installation (4,265 LF - 16" WM, 22 LF - 12" WM, 168 LF - 8" WM and 186 LF - 6" WM) Horizontal directional drilling for water main (872 LF - 20" WM, 91 LF - 12" WM and 317 LF - 8" WM) Cured in Place Pipe rehabilitation of existing 16" cast iron water main piping (925 LF - 16" WM) Bid Option 2: Pipe Bursting for new water main installation of existing 16" cast iron water main piping (4,422 LF - 18" WM) Horizontal directional drilling for water main (414 LF - 18" WM) Cured in Place Pipe rehabilitation of existing 16" cast iron water main piping 925 LF - 16" WM) Open cut water main installation (487 LF - 16" WM, 21 LF - 12" WM and 119 LF - 8" WM) Bid Option 3: Cured in Place Pipe rehabilitation of existing 16" cast iron water main piping (5,087 LF - 16" WM) Horizontal directional drilling for water main (414 LF - 18" WM) Open cut water main installation (487 LF - 16" WM, 21 LF - 12" WM and 119 LF - 8" WM) Only contractor prequalification for the 2024 calendar year will be accepted for this bid. The qualifications for the general contractor and all subcontractors to be used on the project will be reviewed on the basis of the proposed bidder's past performance on work of a similar nature for Clinton Township and other owners. For this particular project, prequalification packages must be received by the Water & Sewer Division no later than 5 business days prior to the bid opening. BID SECURITY Bids must be submitted on the forms furnished by the Township Clerk or the Township Engineers in a sealed envelope marked: Buyer Preferences, Guidelines & Requirements General Requirements - Bidder Prequalification/Preregistration Required - Insurance Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Maintenance Bond 100 % - Labor and Materials Bond 100 % BID FOR SOUTH NUNNELEY WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT (Groesbeck Hwy to Kelly Road) A certified check, bank draft, or satisfactory bid bond, executed by the bidder and a surety company, payable to Clinton Township, in an amount at least equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount, shall be submitted with each bid. BONDS AND INSURANCE The accepted bidder shall be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond, and Labor and Material Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price, and Maintenance and Guarantee Bond of 100% for two years of the Final Contract Price. The cost of the bonds and insurance will be paid by the accepted bidder as an incidental cost to the project. WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after receipt of bids. AWARD OF CONTRACT Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner and their respective Employees, arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation, or recommendation of any bid. The Charter Township of Clinton reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to award the agreement to other than the low proposal, to negotiate the terms and conditions of all and any part of the bids, to waive irregularities and/or formalities, and in general to make award in the manner as determined to be in the Township's best interest and its sole discretion.
