Description of Work: Provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, insurance, and services to install access controls at (6) doors at the University Center, Bldg. 558, as described more fully in the Construction Documents. Work will include wiring, conduit, and parts installation at door and readers, conduit and wiring back to IDF rooms, wireless lock gateways, new control panels, licensing and programming necessary to provide a fully operational system. Contractor to provide additional (34) new wireless card reader locks for future installation by UCSB. Estimated Construction Cost: $236,544 Additional pre bid meeting note: Meeting attendees may attend the pre-bid conference and job walk remotely via Zoom, if desired. The Zoom meeting will include a virtual job walk presented by the University staff. A subsequent, in-person job walk may be scheduled with the University Representative, upon request. Only bidders who participate in the initial (virtual or in-person) pre-bid conference, will be allowed to bid on the Project as a prime bidder. Only attendees as the original pre-bid conference will be permitted to schedule a subsequent site visit with the University Representative. In person attendees are advised that there may be traffic congestion and parking may be difficult. Bidders should a low ample time to drive to the above location in heavy traffic, find a parking space, walk to the building, and arrive in the designated meeting room prior to the required time. Any prospective Bidder arriving after the above designated starting time may be disqualified from submitting a bid for this project.
