Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Naperville, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Resurfacing Streets South of 75th Street That Plan to Be Done in 2024, the Service Includes but Not Limited to Grinding, and Overly, Curb Repairs or Replacement, and Pavement Replacement as Needed. The new curb and gutter must be poured to exactly match the profile of the existing curb and gutter in any area unless the Engineer provides specific direction to adjust line and/or grade. The prevalent type of curb and gutter in this scope of work however is a "suburban-residential" roll type. The Contractor should field check and examine the actual work locations and be familiar with the existing types of curb and gutter he will be expected to match and bid accordingly. This work consists of removing and replacing driveways, sidewalk, and walkways constructed with bricks, pavers, or other special materials, herein referred to as “special materials” at the locations shown in the plans in accordance with the applicable portions of Section 440 of the Standard Specifications, details in the plans and as directed by the Engineer with the following special conditions. Brick driveways will have only the necessary bricks removed to complete the repairs. The bricks will then be stockpiled on the property. No compensation shall be made to remove bricks not necessary to accomplish the sidewalk and curb removal and replacement work. This work shall consist of removing the special materials and replacing them as shown in the plans and described below. This item includes removing and properly disposing of sand, aggregate, bituminous, or concrete base material after the special materials have been removed. The cost of these removals shall be included in the contract unit price for BRICK PAVER REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT. The special materials shall be cleaned and neatly stacked after removal. The Contractor has the option of storing the special materials on-site or at a secure location provided by the Contractor off-site. is the Contractor’s responsibility to determine the quantity of materials that can be stored onsite in the parkway within the project limits. All costs associated with storing the special materials onsite or removing the special materials to an off-site location will not be paid for separately, but shall be included in the contract unit price for BRICK PAVER REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT. The Contractor will not be allowed to store the special materials in the parkway or roadway outside of the project limits. If the special materials are stored on-site it must be placed at a location determined by the Engineer. Any damage to existing conditions that occurs outside of the limits determined by the Engineer shall be repaired at the cost of the Contractor. Cleaning shall consist of removing all debris, bituminous materials, mud, markings, etc. with water and a brush. The pattern of the special materials shall be identical to the pre-existing condition of the driveway and sidewalk prior to construction. The Contractor shall take a minimum of six (6) photographs of each location prior to removing the special materials. Ay damaged special materials shall be disposed of and will not be permitted to be installed. The Engineer shall inspect the special materials prior to installation. Any special materials deemed unsuitable for installation shall be properly disposed of. If a shortfall of special materials is encountered, the Contractor shall secure any additional required special materials to complete the limits as noted on the plans. The Contractor shall furnish the additional special materials. No additional compensation will be made for transporting and installing additional special materials required, but it shall be include in the unit cost for BRICK PAVER REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT. The Contractor is advised that the Illinois Department of Labor (IDOL) revises the prevailing wage rates and the Contractor/subcontractor has an obligation to check the IDOL website for revisions to prevailing wage rates.
