Bridge Replacements and Upgrades including all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, etc., required as set forth in the Bid Documents of Morgan Goudeau & Associates, Inc. for Bridge Replacements and Upgrades. Bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to Julius Alsandor, Mayor, City of Opelousas and plainly marked on the outside, Bid for Bridge Replacements and Upgrades MGA Project B#292 and the contractor must show his license number on the bid envelope. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount equal to 5% of the bid, made payable to the City of Opelousas, as a guarantee that the bidder will furnish all necessary bonds and enter into a contract if his bid is accepted. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable on the U.S. Department of Treasury Circular 570 and be licensed to do business in the State of Louisiana. Question Deadline 08/01/2024 LOCATION OF WORK All of the work of this Contract is located in rights-of-way servitudes, or on property owned by the Owner. 1.02 WORK TO BE DONE A. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, services and incidentals to complete all work required by these Specifications and as shown on the Drawings, all as prepared by Morgan Goudeau and Associates, Inc. B. The Contractor shall perform the work complete, in place, and ready for continuous service, and shall include repairs, testing, permits, cleanup,replacements and restoration, including restoration of vegetative cover required as a result of damages caused during this construction. C. All materials, equipment, skills, tools and labor which are reasonably and properly inferable and necessary for the proper completion of the work in a substantial manner and in compliance with the requirements stated or implied by these Specifications or Drawings shall be furnished and installed by the Contractor without additional compensation, whether specifically indicated in the Contract Documents or not. D. The Contractor shall comply with all Federal, State, and local codes which are applicable to the proposed construction work. 1.03 GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED A. The work included in the Contract shall be described in the Construction Contract. B. All work shall be done as described in the in the Specifications and as shown on the Drawings, complete, tested and ready for operation.
