Georgia State University (GSU, is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from firms interested in providing General Contractor ("GC") services for the project known as Clarkston Parking Lot Improvements, Clarkston, Georgia. This project includes restorative maintenance of six (6) parking lots located on the Clarkston Campus of Georgia State University. The scope of work includes new paving material, curb & gutter modifications, tree plantings, and lighting. Restoration includes re-establishing adequate base on Lots 1, 3, 5, 6, and 8 followed by asphaltic paving. The scope of work for Lot 7 is to mill and inlay upon successful proof roll assessment of GAB. Project Background These lots provide parking for students, faculty, and staff. The pavement in these 6 lots is over 30 years old and is in very poor condition with numerous potholes and extensive cracking. Sections of curb and gutter are also in poor condition. Lighting for the parking lots has not been upgraded in over 30 years and the underground raceways and conductors serving the pole lights are in very poor condition. Project Schedule The firm Croy Engineering, Inc. is currently developing construction documents for the project, which should be complete and available for distribution to eligible firms by May 13, 2024. It is anticipated that construction will begin June 2024 and be completed by November 2024. (All of the dates above are estimates which are subject to change.)
