Site work and paving for a road / highway in Danville, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of July 10, 2024 project was awarded to GC Coatings, awarded amount is $572,767.10. The Town of Danville is requesting proposals for milling and overlaying several streets within the town. This project will be funded using the Community Crossings Grant issued by the State of Indiana Department of Transportation. Milling and overlaying will be conducted on Park Ridge Dr. from U.S. 36 to Hilltop Dr., Mackey Rd. from 70' south of W. Main St. to 25' south of W. Lincoln St., Tamarack Dr. from Sherwood Dr. to Temple Dr., Cross St. from W. Main St. to Columbia St., Mill St. from S. Cross St. (SR 39) to Mackey Rd., Jefferson St. from 21' south of Marion St. to Broadway St., Marion St. from 25' east of Washington St. to Tennessee St., Colonial Ln. from Meadow Dr. to Heritage Dr., Barry Knoll Dr. from Lincoln St. to Cheeseman Ave., Cheeseman Ave. from Barryknoll St. to Chestnut Ave., Paddlebrook Dr. from W. Co. Rd. 50 S. (Lincoln St.) to Clearcreek Dr., Orchard Ln. from N. Washington St. to Dead End, Orchard Ct. from Orchard Ln. to Cul-de-Sac, Woodfield Gr. From 126' west of N. Washington St. to Northhampton Row, and Abbington Station from Woodfield Gr. to Cul-de-Sac within the Town of Danville. 1. Resurface designated streets identified as needing repair by the Town of Danville 2. Provide a smooth, safe surface for the travelling public. 1. Provide full MUTCD approved traffic control for both milling and paving operations. 2. Mill asphalt at a depth of 2", at an estimated total of 41,494 sq.yds. 3. Haul asphalt millings to Hendricks County Highway Dept. at 930 E. Main St., Danville, IN. 4. Adjust any necessary castings to proper elevation. 5. Use HMA Base Mix from an INDOT approved plant to perform necessary deep repairs with an estimated total of 370 Tons. 6. Sweep milled areas post milling and prior to paving. 7. Apply Tack Coat to milled areas at a rate no less than .7 gallons per square yard, using approximately 2,912 gallons. 8. Pave streets at a depth of 2" using HMA from an INDOT approved plant at an approximate total of 4,371 Tons. 9. Provide compaction of asphalt in accordance with INDOT specifications Approved Performance Bonds guaranteeing faithful and proper performance of the work and executed by an acceptable surety company will be required of the Contractor at the time that the Contract is awarded. The Bond is to be for one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price and to be in full force and effect until the date of the final payment and acceptance of the work. After review of the RFP, questions must be submitted in writing and received prior to May 10, 2024. Responses or clarifications will be made within 3 business days. Addenda will be issued for any changes to the RFP. Project completed No later than September 15, 2024 Bid awarded May 15, 2024 Upon completion of the required improvements, but prior to final payment and acceptance of the work, the Contractor shall provide a maintenance bond in an amount equal to twenty percent (25%) of the Contract price. The bond shall provide that the Contractor will, at his own expense, make all repairs to said improvements which may become necessary by reason of improper workmanship or materials; but not including any damage to said improvements resulting from forces or circumstances beyond the control of said Contractor. This bond does not apply to regular maintenance of the improvements. The surety of the maintenance bond may not be released until one (1) year after the County's final payment and acceptance of the work. Event Bid notes: The Town of Danville Public Works Department will not accept proposals delivered via email.
