The City of Bakersfield is seeking vendors for this Request for Proposal (RFP/Q) who can furnish, install, test, and validate battery backup systems (BBS) at twenty (20) locations. The City of Bakersfield seeks to establish contractual arrangements with qualified Contractor(s) for a yearlong contract with the opportunity to renew up to four (4) additional one (1) year periods, in which the Contractor(s) will install twenty (20) complete traffic signal battery backup system per year. The City has allocated $200,000 to this project for fiscal year 2024-2025 with an additional $200,000 allocated each year thereafter for a total potential contract of $1,000,000. All budget amounts are contingent upon City Council approval.
