**As of May 16, 2024 only one bid received for the project and it was double as the estimated budget. The estimated cost of the base project, items 1 and 2, is $54,295. The total estimate for Items 1 – 5 (3 through 5 being add/alt items) is $143,700. Remove and replace roofing, gutters, downspouts and new heating system. Add/Alt items include possible front and back porch additions, new siding and windows. This is a residential, single family home in the Borough of Kane, PA. The estimated Scope of Work prepared for us by our Architect/Engineering Group is a total of $143,700 which includes all items including add/alternates. Kane Borough Housing Rehabilitation Project. This Project Includes the Following Base Bid Items: (1) New Roofing, Gutters and Downspouts (2) New Heating System. Add Alternate Bid Items - (1) Front Porch Addition; (2) Rear Porch Addition; (3) New Siding and Windows. The Scope of Work in the Bid Packet Will Provide Additional Details. In Order to Submit a Bid, Copies of the Specifications and Documents to Submit Must Be Requested by Contacting the Redevelopment Authority. The Successful Bidder Shall Be Required to Provide a Lead Base Paint Training Certification, Be a Registered Home Improvement Contractor With the Attorney General's Office, and Have the Required Insurance Information. The Redevelopment Authority Requires the Successful Contractor to Provide Either a 10% Performance Bond, 10% Letter of Credit From a Bank or 10% Business Check Based on the Amount of the Awarded Bid Amount. The successful Contractor shall have 90 calendar days to complete the project. The 90 days will start when the Notice to Proceed is issued. This Bid Guarantee Will Be Returned Upon Completion of the Project. Prevailing Wage Rates Must Be Paid on This Job for All Bids Over $25,000. The Mckean County Redevelopment Authority Reserves the Right to Accept or Reject Any or All Bids and to Waive Any Informalities in the Bidding Process.
