As Needed Encampment Abatement and General Clean Up Services. Pre-Bid Meeting No Last Day for Questions Friday, April 26, 2024 at 4:00 pm. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 3300 of the California Public Contract Code, Bidders shall be appropriately licensed and in addition, provide its California State Contractor's License number to the City. The Bidder to whom award is made will be required to furnish a Labor and Material Bond and a Faithful Performance Bond in an amount of 100% of the Bid amount, from a Surety Company satisfactory to the City of Redlands Bid security, in the form of a cashier's check, a certified check made to the order of the City of Redlands, or a Bidder's Bond, and in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Bid is required to be submitted with each Bid. Said check or said bond shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into contract with the City of Redlands if awarded the work, and will be declared forfeited if the said bidder fails to enter into contract within fourteen (14) days after Notice of Award. Scope of Services The City of Redlands (City) is soliciting bids from qualified environmental or waste removal professionals for Homeless Encampment Abatement and General Clean-Up Services. City is seeking a Contractor that will provide homeless encampment abatement and general cleanup and services located within its service area. Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, protective clothing/gear, equipment, and expertise for site assessment documentation, clean-up, collecting, removal, and disposal services involving homeless encampment abatement, general clean-up services, and various illegal dump sites. Contractor must have the technical expertise, experience, supervision, and management capabilities to perform any activities required for projects associated with hazardous waste handling and disposal. The services to be performed are on an on-call basis but will be scheduled with advanced notice. The Contractor shall perform work in a timely and efficient manner and in a courteous and business-like manner at all times. There is no minimum amount of work guaranteed, however, it is anticipated that City will have approximately 4-5 abatements and general clean-ups annually. The City Council of the City of Redlands reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any irregularity, and award contracts in the best interests of the City.
