The Work may consist of the following 1.2.1. Accessibility upgrades at Two existing Classroom Buildings, Units C & D, to replace existing concrete walks and asphalt paving; modifications to existing exterior doors to add electrically powered door operators, and minor interior modifications to existing restrooms and classrooms to remove architectural barriers. Please note that the exterior building construction and sitework construction shall occur between June 28th, 2025, and August 3rd, 2025; except for the seal coating of the new asphalt pavement, which shall occur a minimum of 30 days after installation of the asphalt pavement and shall take place during a school holiday weekend or during fall break. Interior construction work shall occur when Units C & D are not occupied by Students and Staff Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise ("DVBE") is NOT a requirement of this project. Each bid must be accompanied by one of the following forms of bidder's security: (1) cash; (2) a cashier's check made payable to the Owner; (3) a certified check made payable to the Owner; or (4) a bidder's bond executed by a California admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, made payable to the Owner, in the form set forth in the Contract Documents. Such bidder's security must be in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of such bidder's bid as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the Contract, if the same is awarded to such bidder, and will provide the required Performance and Payment Bonds, insurance certificates and any other required documents. In the event that a bidder is awarded the Contract and such bidder fails to enter into said Contract or provide the surety bond or bonds within five (5) calendar days after award of the Contract to bidder, said security will be forfeited
