Reference Number 0000349629 The completed Work will provide the Owner with new odor and corrosion control systems at two sites in Sterling Heights, Macomb County, Michigan. The Work includes installation of a carbon vessels at two sites and associated ductwork. The Work also includes installation of pressure relief vents at two (2) other sites in the ITC corridor in Sterling Heights and two (2) other sites in the ITC corridor in the City of Warren. The work generally includes: 1. Meter ST-S-1 Site: a. Demolition of existing odor control unit and associated ductwork at Meter ST-S-1 at Utica Road/Dodge Park Road. b. Demolition of guardrail, concrete sidewalk, and other site features identified in the Contract Documents. c. Installation of an activated carbon vessel, exhaust fan with variable frequency drive (VFD) and ancillary facilities. d. Installation of 480V 3-phase power and ancillary wiring and panels. e. Modifications to the irrigation system. f. Installation of landscaping enhancements included in the Contract Documents. g. Installation of emergency pressure relief vent. 2. Meter ST-S-3 Site: a. Demolition of above-grade facilities associated with Meter ST-S-3 atDodge Park Road/Sorrento Boulevard as shown in the Contract Documents. b. Demolition of existing site fencing and other site features identified in the Contract Documents. c. Partial demolition of underground sheeting identified in the Contract Documents d. Installation of an activated carbon facility, exhaust fan with variable frequency drive (VFD), and other appurtenance facilities. e. Installation of 480V 3-phase power and ancillary wiring and panels. f. Construction of a replica house structure with a basement foundation to contain the new equipment. 3. Other sites: a. Installation of pressure relief vents at control structures CS-5 and CS- 9 in the City of Warren and in the ITC corridor. b. Installation of pressure relief vents at manhole structures PCI-7-107 and PCI-7-109 in the City of Sterling Heights and in the ITC corridor. The Contract, if awarded, will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, and responsible Bidder, subject to the final approval by the Drain Board of the Oakland Macomb Interceptor Drain Drainage District (OMIDDD). Bid bonds shall be based on the entire amount of the bid for the work. Bid bonds shall remain in effect until both Contracts are awarded or cancelled. The party to whom the Contract is awarded (the Successful Bidder) will be required to execute the Agreement and obtain the Performance Bond, Labor and Material Bond and Maintenance and Guarantee Bond within ten (10) calendar days from the date when Notice of Award is delivered to the Successful Bidder. The necessary Agreement and Bond forms shall accompany the Notice of Award. In case of failure of the Successful Bidder to execute the Agreement, the Owner may determine the Successful Bidder to be in default, in which case the Bid Bond accompanying the Bid shall be forfeited to the Owner. Each bid shall be firm for 120 days. No bidder shall withdraw its bid within 120 days after the date of opening thereof. A certified or cashier's check or bid bond for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the total bid will be required for each bid. The right is reserved by the Owner to accept any bid, to reject any bid, and to waive irregularities in the bids.
