The project scope includes providing engineering designs for the renovation of the Main Terminal at Hilo International Airport. Work may include, but is not limited to, the development of plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates associated with the repair/replacement of structural beams and columns damaged by termites; roof and roof gutter repairs; carpet replacement; drainage improvements fronting and within the Main Terminal; and the replacement of electrical equipment and infrastructure. The estimated construction cost is $10,000,000.00. In accordance with Section 103D-304, HRS, the Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT), Airports seeks the services of qualified architectural and/or engineering firms to provide design services for the Terminal Infrastructure Improvements, Hilo International Airport, State Project No. AH1042-03. These services are anticipated to be immediately required and will have a contract completion time of approximately One thousand eight hundred twenty-five (1,825) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The contract will be a Fixed-price contract in accordance with HAR 3-122-136, with an overall contract time of performance of five (5) years. The HDOT, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252) and the Regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations Part 21) issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all firms that it will affirmatively ensure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded without discrimination on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex.
