Renovation of a mixed-use development in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Scope of work consists of but is not limited to the following items: a. East Gym i. Provide new backer rod, caulk and extruded aluminum expansion joint covers at areas noted on the plans. b. Dance Gym i. Remove existing tectum & gypcrete roof deck and roofing system entirely, including all pre-cast and metal copings. Remove all roof drains & exposed supplemental roof drainage leaders. ii. Install new metal roof deck, tapered insulation & crickets, and EPDM roof membrane. Build up existing parapet walls to accommodate new insulation thickness and brace walls. Provide new metal copings and roof drains as noted on plans. iii. Repair damaged interior cmu walls as noted on the structural drawings. iv. Remove and replace existing doors per plan. Provide pre-cast lintels per structural drawings. v. Remove existing VCT flooring and mastic. Refer to abatement specifications for scope of work. Prepare and install new VCT flooring and vinyl base. vi. Remove existing air handlers and associated gravity vents, piping, electrical, etc. Provide new roof top unit, hot water coil and associated ductwork per mechanical plans. Structural reinforcing for RTU is noted on structural plans. vii. Remove existing lay-in ceiling at entrance alcove and provide new. viii. Prepare and repaint entire space including walls, mechanical ducts and all exposed steel including existing bar joists and new roof deck. Scope of work consists of but is not limited to the following items: a. Stairwells DS-1 and ES-9 i. Remove damaged pre-cast terrazzo stairs as noted on plan. Remove all existing vinyl tread covers. Replace damage treads with pre-cast concrete treads to match existing tread profile. Install new vinyl tread and riser covers. ii. Repair and repaint damaged plaster soffit below stair run at base of ES-9 stairwell. iii. Prepare and repaint all exposed metal elements of stairwell including stringers, railings, guards and posts and cabinet unit heaters. Prepare and repaint exposed concrete foundation at base of stair ES-9. b. Link L-9 i. Repair damaged plaster wall and provide new expansion joint at connection to F-Wing. Repaint wall and provide new vinyl base. Provide backer rod, caulk and expansion joint covers at connection to F-Wing. c. Lead Paint: the contractor is responsible to comply with the OSHA Lead in Standard 29 CFR 1926.62. The contractor is prohibited from using heat or grinders or power sanders to prep the known lead-painted surfaces for re-painting. See TTI Environmental, Inc.'s Lead Based Paint XRF Testing Report dated April 9, 2024 which is incorporated into the Specifications The Bidders shall submit, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A: 18A-18(b)(2), one Lump Sum Bid for all the work and materials. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department ofTreasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) with at least the DPMC classification associated with the work they intend to directly perform or, ifBidder will not directly perform any work, with DPMC classification C006, C008, or C009. Bidders' Prime Subcontractors, defined as those listed in N.J.S.A 18A: 18A-18, must be pre-qualified by DPMC with the DPMC classification associated with the work they intend to directly perform or subcontract. The Bidder and named Prime Subcontractors must be prequalified prior to the date that bids are received. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashier's check, treasurer's check or Bid Bond in the form provided in the Contract Documents, with corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner, in an amount of 10% ofthe Base Bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24, naming as payee or obligee, as applicable, Cherry Hill Board of Education, to be retained and applied by the undersigned as provided in the Contract Documents in case the successful Bidder defaults in executing the Agreement or furnishing the bonds and insurance certificates as required by the Contract Documents. Prospective Bidders are advised that this Project is one which will be subject to and will be governed by provisions ofNew Jersey law, including, but not limited to, those regarding (a) Prequalification of Bidders (N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-26 et seq.); (b) Prevailing Wage Rates (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.); (c) Use ofDomestic Materials, (N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-20); and (d) Ownership Disclosure Certification, (N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2). No work On Site can be started until all permits are received. The existing school must be completely operational during the school year. The On Site Construction period is to start on June 17, 2024. The Cherry Hill High School East Dance Gym Roof Replacement and Abatement of the existing flooring mastic shall be complete on or before August 16, 2024; the remainder of the work at Cherry Hill High School East shall be substantially complete on or before November 22, 2024 and final completion shall be December 20, 2024. All work at Cherry Hill High School West shall be complete on or before August 16, 2024. All tie-in work to integrate into the existing building's systems shall be completed during Second Shift hours, weekends, holidays or Summer Vacation. Class hours on each school day are from 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. unless noted otherwise on the school calendar as a half day (hours may vary per school building). No activities generating excessive or unreasonable noise and/or vibrations will be permitted during school hours. The Owner reserves the right to stop disruptive activities at any time during Class hours. The Work will be constructed under one lump sum prime contract. SCOPE OF WORK The Project consists of Selective Stair and Wall Repairs at Cherry Hill High School West, 2101 Chapel Avenue, Cherry Hill, New Jersey 08002; and Dance Gym Reconstruction at Cherry Hill High School East, 1750 Kresson Road, Cherry Hill, New Jersey 08003. Owner: Cherry Hill Board of Education, 45 Ranoldo Terrace, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. Contract Documents were prepared for the Project by Garrison Architects, 713 Creek Road, Bellmawr, NJ 08031; and TTI Environmental, Inc., 1235 North Church Street, Moorestown, NJ 08031. The Work includes but is not limited to the following: (see the Contract Documents for specific work requirements and details): 1. Bidding contractors are strongly encouraged to verify all existing conditions, dimensions and areas prior to submitting a responsive/responsible bid. Site visits can be arranged through David Nuzzie dnuzzie@chclc.org, cell 856-366-0455 2. Bidding contractors are strongly encouraged to visit the site of the Project before submitting a bid. Such site visit shall be for the purpose of familiarizing the Contractor with the conditions as they exist and the character of the operations to be carried on under the Contract Documents, including all existing site conditions, access to the site, physical characteristics of the site and surrounding areas. 3. The Contractor shall provide one (1) full-time onsite Superintendent who is present for all work at all times including, but not limited to, subcontractor work. The Superintendent is responsible for maintaining a daily log and verification of the security clearance of all personnel onsite and all other responsibilities outlined in the Specifications. The Superintendent shall coordinate and supervise, not be performing the work. 4. The Contractor is to provide a list to the Construction Manager with the names of all personnel on site, each day, and no later than two hours after the work has commenced or by 9:00 AM every day via email. 5. During the complete duration of the Work, the Contractor must maintain the continued operation and function of all services and systems including, but not limited to, fire alarm, data, network, information technology, security, audio visual, public address, electrical, domestic water and HVAC. If a disruption to a system occurs, the Contractor must immediately take all actions necessary to restore the system at the earliest possible time. Any required shutdown of any system needs to be coordinated and scheduled with the Owner at times when school is not in session. 6. This work is scheduled to occur during periods of time when weather protection will be required. The Contractor is responsible for all weather related protection required to ensure that the work will continue uninterrupted until completion. 7. Restore all grades, lawns, concrete curbing, sidewalks, asphalt, and pavement to pre-construction condition. 8. CHERRY HILL HIGH SCHOOL EAST: Scope of work consists of but is not limited to the following items: a. East Gym i. Provide new backer rod, caulk and extruded aluminum expansion joint covers at areas noted on the plans. b. Dance Gym i.
