A-128.00R001-3-02 - ASPHALT RESURFACING BETWEEN MILEPOST A128.03 AND MILEPOST A-129.54 IN LACKAWANNA COUNTY The Diverse Business minimum level of participation established for this project is: DB 6% This project provides for the asphalt resurfacing for both northbound and southbound of the Turnpike roadway between Milepost A-128.03 and Milepost A-129.54, and installation of pavement markings, median barrier delineation devices, Sonic Nap Alert Pattern (SNAP), and maintenance and protection of traffic during construction. Work items include, but are not limited to: 45,180 SY Milling of Asphalt Pavement Surface, 2 1/2 " Depth 6,212 TON Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Wearing Course 14,184 EA Sonic Nap Alert Pattern (SNAP) 555 EA Delineation Devices 67,770 LF 4" Standard Pavement Markings (Yellow and White) 37,942 LF 6" PPPRP Markings (Yellow and White) 2,174 LF Pavement Marking Removal at MP A-128.50 bridge deck Milepost A-128.03 is located approximately 2.97 miles south of the Clarks Summit Interchange, Exit 131, and Milepost A-129.54 is located approximately 1.46 miles south of Clarks Summit Interchange, Exit 131, in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. The proposal and plans are published electronically in EBS and are available to registered business partners for downloading and printing. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. The opening and listing of bids not meeting all the terms and conditions of the bid advertisement or bid procedures does not act as a waiver or modification of any requirements contained in the bid advertisement or bid procedure. The Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, together with the rates and regulations promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry applicable thereto, shall apply to this contract.
