Renovation of a water / sewer project in Denver, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Reference Number 0000349880 Job Location: Robert Hite Treatment Facility, Denver, CO 80229/ Northern Treatment Plant, 51 Baseline Road, Brighton, CO, 80603 This Project will address Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) fixed assets that have aged beyond their useful life or have become increasingly difficult to operate and maintain at Metro's RWHTF and NTP. The Project will also connect HVAC equipment that is currently operating standalone to Metro's HVAC Control System (HCS) so that the equipment can be remotely monitored and managed. Question Deadline 05/16/2024 at 2:00 PM MT Questions are submitted online No The design effort for the HVAC High Priority Improvements Project will include, at a minimum, the following scope: o NTP: o Replace the intake hoods for 29 Make-up Air Units (MAUs) with ductwork that lowers the inlet velocity, contains electric preheat, and mixes the preheated air prior to entering the MAUs. o Add heat exchangers to the condenser water system serving the three plant chillers to separate the chillers from the process water being used for heat rejection. o Connect the existing unit controllers for the 29 MAUs to Metro's existing HCS. o Add an additional gas-fired unit heater to the PRW/PBS Pump Station. o RWHTF: o Replace 4 existing Direct Expansion (DX) Fan Coil Units (FCUs) in the Digester Complex with new chilled water FCUs. Extend the existing campus chilled water system from the neighboring Biosolids Dewatering and Storage Facility (BDSF) to the Digester Complex to serve the new FCUs. o Replace one existing DX Air Handling Unit (AHU) on the Dissolved Air Flotation Facility (DAF) with a new chilled water AHU. o Replace one existing DX AHU at the South Primary Pump Station with a new chilled water AHU. Extend the chilled water branch piping allocated for this purpose from its currently dead-end location on the other side of a primary clarifier while avoiding existing underground utilities in the area. o Add a condenser water heat exchanger for the 2 chillers in the SSAC to allow additional heat rejection to the Plant Water Chlorinated (PWC) system. o Connect the unitary controllers for the following equipment to Metro's HCS: Digester Complex: 5 MAUs. SSAC: 6 MAUs, 4 AHUs, 2 chillers.
