Site work and paving for a civil project in White, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
As of May 22, 2024, project was awarded to K&A Paving Contractors LLC, awarded amount is $170,350.74. This Base Bid phase of the project shall include the area denoted as "Alternate Bid A" on the project plans. The Base Bid area detailed on the project plans was constructed and completed in 2022. The Phase II Base Bid work consists of improvements to Dogwood Terrace and its intersection with Somerset Drive. The improvements include, but are not limited to, clearing site, full depth reclamation and roadway resurfacing, drainage pipe and structure improvements, curbing, new driveway aprons and site restoration including topsoil, seed and mulch. The Phase II - Alternate Bid A work shall include the area denoted as "Alternate Bid A" and "Future Work Area A" on the project plans. The Phase II - Base Bid + Alternate Bid A work consists of improvements to Dogwood Terrace and its intersection with Somerset Drive, and a portion of Somerset Drive. The improvements include, but are not limited to, clearing site, full depth reclamation and roadway resurfacing, drainage pipe and structure improvements, curbing, new driveway aprons and site restoration including topsoil, seed and mulch. All Base Bid work on this contract shall be completed within forty-five (45) calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed. All Alternate Bid work on this contract shall be completed within sixty (60) calendar days from the issuance of the notice to proceed. Proposals must be made on the standard Proposal forms in the manner designated in the Contract documents, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the project on the outside and be addressed to the Township Committee, Township of White and must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the municipality and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of "Treasurer of the Township of White" for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. Contract Documents and Drawings for the proposed work, which have been prepared by Township Engineer, Paul M. Sterbenz, P.E., P.P. of the firm of Colliers Engineering & Design Inc. (DBA Maser Consulting), are on file in the Municipal Building at 555 CR 519, Belvidere, New Jersey, and at the office of said Engineer at 53 Frontage Road, Hampton, New Jersey, and may be inspected by prospective bidders during business hours. The successful bidder is hereby notified that a performance bond for the full amount of this project is required. The award of the Contract for this project will not be made until the necessary funds have been provided by the Township of White in a lawful manner. The Township or the Engineer reserves the right to require a complete financial and experience statement from prospective bidders showing that they have satisfactorily completed work of the nature required before furnishing proposal forms or specifications, or before awarding the Contract. Proposals for this Contract will only be accepted from bidders who have properly qualified in accordance with the requirements of the Contract documents. The right is also reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the Township. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications. The successful bidder shall be required to comply with the following: A. Affirmative Action requirements (P.L. 1975, C.127, N.J.S.A. 10:5-1 et. seq.). B. The provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et. seq.). C. Anti-Kickback Regulations under Section 2 of the Act of June 13, 1934, known as the Copeland Act. D. Worker and Community Right-to-Know Act (N.J.S.A. 34:5A-1 et. seq.). E. Anti-Drug/Alcohol plan in accordance with 49 CFR Parts 40, 199, and 391. The bid must also be accompanied by a list of names and addresses of all stockholders owning 10% or more of the stock in accordance with the provisions of the Public Disclosure Law (P.L. 1988, C.33 N.J.S.A. 52:25-24-2).
