Renovation of a municipal facility in Ind Hillside, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Work consists of the following The project consists of the abatement and proper disposal of VAT flooring, mastic, pipe insulation, and interior window caulk. Additionally, the installation of new exterior doors & hardware, the cutting of an exterior concrete well wall for the installation of a new passage gate, the installation of new aluminum storefront window systems, new poured epoxy flooring and wall base, the spackling, patching and painting of various wall and ceiling surfaces, the installation of new pipe insulation where removed, and the installation of new acoustical drop ceiling system at various areas within the Hillside Municipal Building, located at 1409 Liberty Ave, Hillside, NJ. A safe and secure environment will be provided for all occupants during the construction process. Specific renovations scope is as follows: 1. Demolition: The Contractor is responsible for the complete and proper demolition, removal, and disposal of all materials necessary to complete the renovation of the municipal building. 2. New Work: The Contractor is responsible and obligated to successfully complete the entire project and to complete each and every necessary detail of every item required of the municipal building renovations. The contractor is responsible for providing new architectural and finish systems to complete all municipal building renovations. The contractor shall field verify all existing dimensions prior to construction and/or preparation of shop drawings. Disclaimer: IN ORDER FOR YOUR BID TO BE CONSIDERED A LEGAL BONAFIDE BIDDER ON THE PROJECT, DOCUMENTS MUST BE PURCHASED FROM REMINGTON, VERNICK ENGINEERS DIRECTLY Improvements to Specific Areas in the Municipal Building Each Bid Shall Be Accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond Duly Executed by the Bidder as Principal and Having as Surety Thereon a Surety Company Approved by the Township of Hillside in an Amount Not Less Than Ten Percent (10%) but in No Case in Excess of $20,000.00 of the Amount Bid. Any Such Bid Bond Shall Be Without Endorsement or Conditions. Bid Shall Also Be Accompanied by a Certificate Letter From a Surety Company Stating That It Will Provide the Bidder With the Completion Bond. The Township of Hillside Reserves the Right to Consider the Bids for Sixty (60) Days After the Receipt Thereof, and Further Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids, Either in Whole or in Part and Also to Waive Any Informality in Any and Make Such Awards or Take Action as May Be in the Best Interest of the Township of Hillside, in Accordance With Applicable Law. The award shall further be subjected to the securing of necessary State, Federal or Local permits governing the work. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action), N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.(New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act), and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. S12101, et seq.). The contractor is further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2, and submit a Disclosure Statement listing stockholders with his bid. The contractor is further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 34:11- 56.48 et seq. Public Works Contractor Registration Act and he and any subcontractors must be registered in accordance with the act. The contractor is also further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 and submit proof of business registration and submit proof of business registration for any named subcontractors in accordance with the act.
