The Portola watershed storm drain trunk line within Caltrans ROW located between Sneath Lane and State Route 35 failed during the December 2023 winter storm event and resulted in the formation of a large sinkhole. While emergency repairs on that sinkhole and portions of the failed storm drain pipe have been completed, approximately 200 linear feet of corroded corrugated metal pipe will require either replacement or rehabilitation. This project is included in the City of San Bruno's FY 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of April 22, 2024, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available. Construction is anticipated in 2024.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
