Demolition, site work, remodeling and addition to a municipal facility in Kennewick, Washington. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a municipal facility; for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the remodel of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
Project Background The Canine Control Facility is located at 116 N Grant Place in Kennewick, WA. It is a 3,200 sqft preengineered building on a 1.06-acre property. The project will consist of expanding and remodeling the current facility to accommodate its current and future capacity needs. All improvements need to be completed as expeditiously as possible, as the facility is at capacity. Scope of Work The work performed under this RFQ will consist of the following: Provide a ROM with the proposal Attend a project kickoff meeting to discuss the scope of work Attend a project walkthrough to review the existing facilities Meet with the Benton County Team to discuss conceptual design More than one meeting may be required Develop a conceptual-level design for review and comment by County staff - at least three proposed concepts for review Meet with the designated team to discuss proposed concepts More than one meeting may be required Develop complete construction plans, specifications, contract documents, and cost estimates for the approved concept. Deliverables for review at 30%, 60%, 90%, and 100% completion Provide complete contract, engineers estimate and bidding documents Provide bidding assistance to the County in the form of answering requests for information and preparing addenda as needed Obtain building and other permits,submit applications and answer questions about the plans and specifications, and make corrections as required by the permitting agency Provide construction support, including review of submittals, an inspection of completed work, responding to requests for information, participate in regular construction meetings, and assisting with the review and preparation of change orders Attend the final walk-through and assist in the preparation of the punch list Complete as-constructed drawings All working project documents will be coordinated via County-Owned SharePoint site Inquiries All questions and inquiries shall be in writing and sent to Robert Blain via email at: procurement@co.benton.wa.us A Questions and Answers (Q&A) document will be posted on the County's website to ensure that all proposers simultaneously have access to the information.
