Sealed bids will be received for the replacement of windows at City Hall in Adrian, MI. All bids to be F.O.B. Adrian, installed. All bids must be firm for not less than 60 days after official opening of bids. All bids must contain warranty information on the product being installed. The City of Adrian has a local preference policy The City of Adrian reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities. No contract shall be made with any person, firm or corporation in default of the city. 1. Remove and replace windows at City Hall in the following locations: a. Third floor Windows b. Mezzanine Windows c. Front Stairwell Window 2. Windows shall be Joyce Trinity Deluxe, custom made welded vinyl replacement windows or equivalent. 3. Roughly 32 existing openings. 4. Twenty to be double hung with double locks, safety latches and half screens. 5. Twelve to be fixed picture windows mulled atop the first floor double hung. 6. Windows/ sizes do not need to be an exact replacement of the existing windows. 7. Windows are to be cherry woodgrain on the inside and beige on the outside to closely match the existing windows. 8. All double hung windows shall open and tilt inwards. 9. All windows shall include a foam filled sash and frame. 10. All Windows shall be Energy Star Rated, double pane J21 layered Low E Argon high performance, energy efficient glass and have a U value of 0.23. 11. All double hung windows shall be furnished with BetterVue, heavy duty, extruded half screens or equivalent. 12. Windows shall have Smartshield warm edge glass spacer and 7/8" glazing for optimum energy efficiency. 13. Windows shall have a welded sash and frame. 14. Windows should have two security locks and double vent safety locks. 15. Composite reinforced meeting rails for strength and rigidity. 16. Lifetime, non-prorate warranty including glass breakage coverage. 17. Bid shall include all material, labor, clean up with the old windows hauled away. 1. Four Joyce Trinity Deluxe, custom made welded vinyl replacement windows for the front stairwell. 2. All four to be fixed picture windows, structurally mulled together to replicate existing windows. Two in large lower opening and two in transom opening above. Wooden mullion between the two openings to stay to closely resemble existing windows. 3. Two-toned, flat colonial grid pattern sealed between the glass. 4. All to be cherry woodgrain inside and beige outside to resemble existing windows. 5. All stairwell windows include a foam filled sash and frame for greater energy efficiency. 6. Stairwell windows to include 5/32" thick double pane J21 layered Low E Argon high performance, energy efficient glass. 7. Smartshield warm edge glass spacer and 7/8" glazing for optimum energy efficiency. 8. Welded sash and frame. 9. Special scaffolding will need to be set up at the outside front entrance and the interior stairwell to allow for window installation. 10.
