The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to solicit formal written Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) from experienced and qualified General Contractors (RESPONDENTS) to provide General Contracting Services for the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County (AUTHORITY). Specifically, the AUTHORITY is seeking RESPONDENTS with expertise in the following areas: construction services and general contracting projects including, but not limited to, repairs, replacements, and/or installations of municipal infrastructure which may also include, but not be limited to, wastewater pump stations and conveyance , irrigation systems, miscellaneous plumbing and piping, minor electrical, concrete and asphalt pavement and curbing repair/replacement, sitework, grading, and stormwater system rehabilitation and improvements and all incidentals. Small/Minority/Women Business Enterprise (S/M/WBE) Participation: In accordance with Section 6 of the Purchasing Manual, the AUTHORITY has applied a Forty Percent (40%) S/M/WBE Subcontracting Participation Affirmative Procurement Initiative (API) Preference for the Construction Industry. The AUTHORITY requires RESPONDENTS to commit to Forty Percent (40%) S/M/WBE participation to meet the API applied to this solicitation. The Authority provides a specified time for RESPONDENTS to ask questions and seek clarification regarding the requirements of the solicitation. All questions or clarification inquiries must be submitted through Periscope by the date and time specified and referenced in the Procurement Schedule - Attachment B of the solicitation document (including any addenda). The Authority will respond to all questions through Periscope, that may include a written Addendum. Contract duration: 2 years Contract renewal: 1 annual renewal
