The City of Pleasanton is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide comprehensive maintenance services for alleyways within Pleasanton. The goal of this project is to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the alleyways, enhancing the quality of life for residents and promoting a vibrant urban environment. The selected contractor will be responsible for performing the following tasks: Sweep and remove debris, litter, and other waste from the alleyways on a scheduled basis. - Dispose of collected waste in accordance with local regulations at City's Collection and Transfer Station Remove weeds, overgrown vegetation, and any other plant growth that obstructs the alleyways or poses safety hazards. - Implement measures to prevent weed regrowth, such as herbicide application or manual removal. Provide regular reports on maintenance activities, including work completed, areas serviced, and any issues encountered. - Maintain open communication with Public Works staff to address concerns, coordinate access to alleyways, and ensure alignment with project goals The City of Pleasanton is seeking maintenance for 95 blocks of alleyway (approximately 7 miles with an average width of 16ft.) Bidders are encouraged to visit sites prior to bidding. Permissible equipment can include and is not limited to small shredder, rider mowers, and weed eaters. Maintenance of alleys as needed but a minimum of once a month. The grass should be maintained and kept at a minimum of 2 inches and not to exceed 8 inches. The City of Pleasanton Public Works Director or City representative can give a variance as needed.
