-Remove 15 feet of wall and door framing on existing principal's office -Build and install new secretary service counter -Install new 7 foot wall leading into new principal" office -Frame in two new walls 15 feet x 11 feet to create a new principal office. -Install an exterior door on the west wall of new principal's office -Install insulation into the new walls -Add drywall to both sides of new principal's office -Storage room will be converted into Vice principal's office -Existing door will need to be blocked off and install a new door on the west wall -Electrical outlets need to be installed on all new walls with data drops -Lighting will have to be separated for each new office space with switches -All demo and materials to be disposed of by contractor The lowest bid shall be determined on the amount of the base bid. This Contract is no subject to prequalification pursuant to Public Contract Code section 20111.6. The deadline for Completion is July 12, 2024 Bids must be accompanied by a bidder's bond, cashier's check, or certified check for at least ten percent (10%) of the amount of the base bid and made payable to the Owner, as detailed in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder will be allowed to substitute securities or establish an escrow in lieu of retainage, pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22300, and as described in the Agreement Between Owner and Contractor and General Conditions. The Owner will not consider or accept any bids from contractors who are not licensed to do business in the State of California, in accordance with the California Public Contract Code, providing for the licensing of contractors. In accordance with Section 3300 of said Code, the bidder shall have a Class "B license at the time of award and shall maintain that license in good standing through Completion of the Contract and all applicable warranty periods. For all projects over Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000), the bidder shall state the public works contractor registration number on the Designation of Subcontractors form for each subcontractor performing more than one-half of one percent (0.5%) of the bidder's total bid. The Director of Industrial Relations of the State of California, in the manner provided by law, has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and rate for legal holidays and overtime work.
