The work includes the removal, disposal, and replacement of six fuel storage tanks at Caruso Pump Station (one tank), Delauri Pump Station (one tank), Framingham Pump Station (one tank) New Neponset Valley Pump Station (one tank) and Cottage Farm CSO (two tanks). Unless otherwise noted, all replacements will include piping connections from storage tanks to day tanks systems, fuel transfer systems, day tank systems, upgraded leak detection and tank monitoring systems. This contract is subject to a 7.24% MBE and a 3.6% WBE participation requirement The estimated project cost is: $3,968,037.00. A. Caruso Pump Station: Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to perform the following items of Work as indicated in the Contract Documents and on the Contract Drawings and as specified: 1. Instrumentation and monitoring of existing structures and utilities within 50 feet of tank replacement activity. 2. Removal of existing underground fuel storage tank. 3. Removal of existing fuel piping. 4. Removal of existing fuel monitoring equipment. 5. Installation and removal of temporary fuel tank and fuel piping. 6. Maintenance and filling of temporary fuel tank. 7. Installation of new underground fuel storage tank. 8. Installation of new fuel piping. 9. Installation of new fuel monitoring equipment. B. Cottage Farm CSO Facility: Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to perform the following items of Work as indicated in the Contract Documents and on the Contract Drawings and as specified: 1. Removal of two (2) existing underground fuel storage tanks. 2. Removal of existing fuel piping to the building only. 3. Installation and removal of temporary fuel tank and fuel piping. 4. Maintenance and filling of temporary fuel tank. 5. Installation of two (2) new underground fuel storage tanks. 6. Installation of new fuel piping to the building only. 7. Contractor to be aware that abatement work by others at the Main Building may be ongoing during construction of improvements. While there are not direct impacts anticipated, coordination will be required with the Owner in accordance with requirements of Section 01015. C. DeLauri Pump Station: Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to perform the following items of Work as indicated in the Contract Documents and on the Contract Drawings and as specified: 1. Installation of new underground fuel storage tank. 11. Installation of new fuel piping. 12. Installation of new engine generator day tank. 13. Installation of new boiler day tank. 14. Installation of new fuel transfer pump set. 15. Installation of new fuel monitoring equipment. D. Framingham Pump Station: Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to perform the following items of Work as indicated in the Contract Documents and on the Contract Drawings and as specified: 1. Instrumentation and monitoring of existing structures and utilities within 50 feet of tank replacement and trench activity. 2. Removal of existing underground fuel storage tank. 3. New Neponset Valley Pump Station: Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to perform the following items of Work as indicated in the Contract Documents and on the Contract Drawings and as specified: 1. Instrumentation and monitoring of existing structures and utilities within 50 feet of tank replacement and trench activity. 2. Removal of existing underground fuel storage tank. 3. Removal of existing fuel piping. 4. Removal of existing engine generator day tank. 5. Removal of existing fuel transfer pump set. 6. Removal of existing fuel monitoring equipment. 7. Installation and removal of temporary fuel tank, day tank(s) and fuel piping. 8. Maintenance and filling of temporary fuel tank. 9. Installation of new underground fuel storage tank. 10. Installation of new fuel piping. 11. Installation of new engine generator day tank. 12. Installation of new fuel transfer pump set. 13. Installation of new fuel filtration skid. 14. Installation of new fuel monitoring equipment. F. Contractor to remove and dispose of existing fuel found in tanks and pipes. Assume that all tanks will be 50% full and all pipes being removed, or draining back to items being removed and downstream of means of isolation, are completely full. Total assumed value of fuel to be removed and disposed of 32,700 gallons.
