Renovation of a mixed-use development in Santa Clara, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 30,180-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility; and library.

1. Removal from the Job Site of all demolition debris and other materials indicated on the Drawings to be removed. 2. Legal off-site disposal of all removed materials, as specified. 3. Removal, stabilization, and repair and capping of existing underground utilities as indicated in the Drawings or necessitated by the performance of Work, as specified. 4. Job-Site cleaning, security, and related logistics and protective efforts necessitated by the performance of the Work, as specified. 5. Included in the Work are all services, including fabrication, labor, materials, equipment, tools, appliances, supports, services, trucking, testing, storage, engineering, layout, supervision, coordination, and all other operations, services or efforts required to perform the Work. 6. Notwithstanding that Drawings and Specifications may be incomplete in certain details, it is understood by Contractor that any work not explicitly shown or explicitly specified therein, but nonetheless required to comply with the agreed contractual intent of providing a complete job, shall be included in the Work. 7. Contractor shall directly coordinate with Underground Services Alert (USA) and public utility agencies for all requests for access to existing utility company equipment or shutdowns of active existing permanent services, with concurrent notification to Owner in writing in each case. Contractor shall be responsible for all public utility agency notifications; access requests and payment of any associated costs required to perform underground utilities and related work (unless otherwise noted) including any fees assessed by those agencies for start-up or shutdown of their equipment or service.
