Work involves installation of new gas line for infrastructure equipment servicing the Education building. Meter and gas line connection at University Ave will be performed by TxGas at a later date. New gas line will span from the University-4 (UN4) parking lot located on the east of Union East Building, across Kerbey Avenue, and to the Kerbey 1 (KE1) parking lot located southeast of the Education Building. Due to the vehicular traffic flow usage, work will need to be staged in phases such that vehicular traffic is limited during a certain period of time yet still allow pedestrian and emergency vehicle access. Contractor should take precaution to control debree trail paths from becoming evident or take necessary measurements to sweep paths as needed. Please note that both parking lots cannot be blocked off to vehicular traffic at the same time. Coordination with owner on walkway paths and secquencing will be finalized with owner and selected contractor. Effort should be made for work to be completed prior to August 12, 2024.
