This work is for providing the required materials, including but not limited to Waterborne and Solvent Based Type II, Rapid Dry Traffic Paint and Glass Beads, in accordance with the latest PADOT Specifications and Version of Penn DOT Publication 408, for the application of traffic lines on the specified County Roads and Bridges. The contractor will supply the required paint and glass beads and will be responsible for insuring the acceptability of materials. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating delivery and storage of the materials to a suitable storage area also provided by the contractor. Luzerne County will not be responsible for any excess materials after completion of the specified work. PROPOSED CONTRACT TERM: 05/08/2024 TO 12/31/2024 All work including the application, storage and handling of the paint and glass beads shall be in accordance with latest edition PADOT Publication 408 Section 962. The said contract prices on the proposal sheet shall remain firm from the date of execution of the contract until December 31st of that same year or as illustrated in the contract. The successful contractor shall have equipment and personnel capable of substantially completing all work within forty-five (45) days from Notice to Proceed. If indicated in this Solicitation, Responder may be required to submit with its response a Bid Bond or some other form of bid security. Responder's failure to supply the required Bid Bond or bid security when required will be grounds for disqualification of the Responder's submission. When a Bid Bond or other form of bid security is required the amount of said bid bond or bid security shall be fifty percent (50%) of the total cost of the proposal or bid submitted. If indicated in this Solicitation, upon acceptance of its bid/proposal Responder may be required to submit a Performance Bond for any bid/proposal over ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) to Luzerne County Purchasing upon contract award. The amount of said Performance Bond shall be in an amount no less than the total dollar amount of Responder's bid/proposal. The County reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantities at any time during the contract period.
