Project Description
The City of Harrisonville has need of professional structural engineering services on various matters that arise throughout the city. These concerns include but are not limited to:
o Public and private buildings;
o Bridges and culverts;
o Footings and foundations;
o Storage and communication towers;
o Lake spillways;
o Retaining walls;
o Concrete pavements;
o Treatment plant storage and operations facilities;
o Sidewalks and pedestrian bridges;
o City's capital improvement projects. Typical services under this on-call agreement consists of a qualified structural engineer providing site investigations, structural analysis and evaluations, design of improvements, report
preparations, construction plans and specifications, assistance with shop drawing reviews, presentations to City staff, elected officials, and the public, coordination with regulatory and
emergency service agencies. A successful firm will show experience in all these areas plus the ability to provide expeditious, competent, sound responses during crucial situations. The City
may choose to enter into agreements with more than one engineering firm and note that under a separate request, the City will seek on-call geotechnical services and construction testing
services. Any questions about the contents of an RFQ should be addressed to the City Engineer. If time permits, such questions should be submitted in writing. The City reserves the right to request
that all questions be submitted in writing. If the City determines that questions by a prospective offeror and the answers thereto are of a general nature, the City reserves the right to provide such
questions and answers to all prospective offerors.
