Per FDOT direction, design is required to have an Independent Project Review (IPR) through a separate firm and contract; foundations outside of FDOT rights-of-way are to be reviewed by FDOT; the design must meet FDM criteria and have full review through FDOT District One. Project is in Manatee County capital budget fy 2025-2029 CIP 415 ___________________________________________________________________________________ Manatee County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida (hereinafter in this Scope referred to as County), is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide Professional Engineering Services and other professional services for "Lincoln Park Pedestrian Bridge (CIP #: 6023513) Design, permit and construct a pedestrian/bicycle (ped/bike) bridge crossing U.S. 41. The bridge will be a single span pedestrian prefabricated steel truss bridge with a span of approximately 150 feet. The low member of the bridge will be set at least 17.5 feet over the roadway. To accommodate ADA requirements, the approach ramp will zig zag back and forth to minimize the extension from the truss section and include appropriate ADA landing areas throughout. The Consultant needs to follow requirements set forth by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to facilitate the use of Community Project Funding (CPF) on this project (See Exhibit 3). The County has also requested federal funding through the U.S. Department of Transportation's FY 2023 Reconnecting Communities and Neighborhoods, Neighborhood Access and Equity Capital Construction Grant . The completed design will need to meet the requirements for pursuing these additional funding sources.
