The Work Generally Includes Pavement Reconstruction, Sidewalk And Curb Replacement, Reconstruction Of Driveways, Installation Of Pedestrian Crossings, And Traffic Signal Replacement. Engineer's Estimate: $565,000.00 A Bid Guaranty In The Form Of Either A Certified Or Cashier's Check Drawn On As Solvent Bank In The State Of Ohio, Together With A Consent Of Surety, In The Amount Of Ten Percent (10%) Of The Total Bid, Made Payable To The City Of Middleburg Heights, Ohio Or A Bond In An Amount Equal To One Hundred Percent (100%) Of The Total Bid Drawn In Favor Of The City Of Middleburg Heights, As Prescribed In O.r.c. 153.54, And As A Guarantee That, If The Bid Is Accepted, A Contract Will Be Entered Into With The City, And In Default, Thereof, Said Check Or Bond Will Be Forfeited To The City Of Middleburg Heights As Liquidated Damages. Bidders Must Use The Printed Forms Of Proposal Available As Aforesaid, As None Other Will Be Accepted. Contractors Shall Be Required To Pay Prevailing Wages On This Contract In Accordance With Chapter 4115 Of The Ohio Revised Code. SCOPE OF WORK The work contemplated under this contract is the replacement of signal supports and pedestals at four locations along Bagley Road in the city of Middleburg Heights. Generally, the work to be performed includes, but is not limited to; furnish labor, supplies, equipment, and materials and perform all operations necessary for the acceptable installation of the traffic control devices in strict accordance with these plans, notes and specifications.
