Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Apex, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
FY 2025 Contract for the Restoration of Non-City of Asheville Road Rights-of-Way Following MSD Wastewater Collection System Maintenance. The work to be done generally consists of furnishing all services, supplies, materials and equipment, and necessary labor to repair and repave those portions of Non-City of Asheville road rights-of-way disturbed by maintenance operations of the DISTRICT. Said work must be done in accordance with specifications maintained by the DISTRICT. The contract is for the restoration of Non-City of Asheville Road ROW following MSD Maintenance work between July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025 (1 year). The MSD estimate for this work is approximately $509,000. Contract does include option for 2 years of renewal if it is in District's best interest and contractor is agreeable. Renewal options will be for 12-month time periods. This project will include paving restoration following MSD sewer work, for public and private roads, parking lots, sidewalks, etc. in the following areas: i. Roadway and private property areas of Buncombe County outside of the City of Asheville. ii. On private properties inside the City of Asheville (ex: private parking lot.) iii. In special situations, small amounts of paving in City streets may occur. iv. Roadway and private property areas in the Cane Creek Sewer District area of Northern Henderson County Each bid shall be accompanied by a deposit with the Metropolitan Sewerage District of Buncombe County of cash, or a cashier's check, or a certified check on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount. In lieu of making the cash deposit as above describes a satisfactory Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid, executed by a corporate suretylicensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute such bonds, shall be submitted with each bid, conditioned that the surety will upon demand forthwith make payment to the obligee upon said bond if the bidder fails to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond. This deposit shall be retained if the successful bidder fails to execute the contract within ten (10) days after the award of bid or fails to give satisfactory surety as required in North Carolina General Statute. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Those bonds shall meet the requirements of North Carolina General Statute Section 143-129 and of Article 3 of Chapter 44A of the North Carolina General Statute. This contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, taking into consideration quality, performance and time of delivery. The DISTRICT reserves the right to reject any and all bids, including, without limitation, the right to reject any or all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional bids; bidders not pre-qualified by the DISTRICT, and to reject the bid of any bidder if DISTRICT believes that it would not be in the best interest of the DISTRICT to make an award to that bidder. DISTRICT also reserves the right to waive informalities.
