The Section 1 work to be performed consists of site grading for the construction of an elevated water storage tank, installation of 52 LF of 8" diameter P.V.C. and 24 LF of 10" diameter P.V.C. water line and appurtenances, well house electrical improvements, and SCADA system. The Section 2 work to be performed consists of the construction of a 250,000-gallon elevated multi-leg type water storage tank and associated foundations, minor yard piping and appurtenances, tower electrical work, and rough site grading. BIDDER hereby agrees to commence work under this contract on or before a date to be specified in the NOTICE TO PROCEED, and to fully complete the PROJECT within 270 consecutive calendar days thereafter. The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, testing, tools, and supervision to complete the 250,000- gallon elevated water storage tank, site work, site piping, electrical, and all incidentals, as described in the specifications, and as shown on the drawings. SUMMARY OF WORK 5.1 The Section 1 work to be performed under this contract generally consists of the site grading, well house SCADA and electrical improvements, and installation of 52 LF of 8-inch and 24 LF of 10-inch diameter water line and appurtenances to create a complete and functioning system. 5.1.1 Add alternate Bid Item prices shall be received for the (1) replacement and painting of piping within Wellhouse No. 2 and (2) replacement and painting of the well head assembly. See construction drawings and Section 01 35 13, SPECIAL PROJECT CONDITIONS for additional details. 5.2 The Section 2 Contractor shall be responsible for the construction of the 250,000-gallon elevated storage tank and foundations, as well as water lines and electrical attached to and extending 10-feet from the tank center column. 5.3 Inclusive in the work is close coordination with all appropriate jurisdictional agencies and responsibility for construction standards, traffic control, and safety requirements of these agencies.
