Refractory Replacement AJAX Boiler. Question Deadline 07/02/2024 2:00 PM (PDT) All questions must be submitted electronically via the City's online bid portal Start/Delivery Date July 2024 - December 2024 Project Duration Six Months Estimated Week of Award Notification: Week of 07/15 Estimated Week of Contract Award: Week of 07/22 Local Business Enterprise (LBE) Five Percent (5%) Bid Evaluation Preference. 1.) Mobilize to the jobsite; set up equipment. 2.) Install refractory dust containment area. 3.) Remove external boiler cladding (California Boiler Worksto remove all pipping for access) 4.) Remove existing insulation from the boiler inner cladding overlay. 5.) Remove inner cladding 6.) Remove existing refractory, tiles and insulation from the boiler hot face area 7.) Install a 3000 castable refractory on the floor. 8.) Install a 3000deg refractory on burner wall as per existing thickness and trim to dimensions 9.) Install 2800 IFB's on the side walls and rear wall as per existing inner lining thickness 10.) Install 1/4 " 2300 ceramic paper over bricks 11.) Install a 2300deg fiber paper lining over IFB bricksinstalled 12.) Install a 1900 block insulation followed by a 2300 ceramic fiber blanket 13.) Install existing inner cladding as per existing followed by mineral board thickness as per existing thickness 14.) Install outer cladding as per existing 15.) Remove all debrisfrom the boiler site and disposal
