This project consists of construction of approximately 8,250 feet of 36-inch ductile iron pipe reclaimed water main installed via open cut as well as multiple jack and bores. The project also consists of the construction of a concrete bridge for an aerial pipeline crossing. The work includes installation of all piping, fittings, valves, appurtenances, testing, and all incidentals necessary to provide the installed reclaimed water main system, complete, and ready for service. The estimate for this project is: $6,289,767.00. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check made out to the City of Orlando, or other security as provided by law, in an amount not less than 10% of the total base bid. Upon award of contract, the Low Bidder shall be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of the Contract Price. City of Orlando Minority & Women-Owned Business Enterprise Ordinance and Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) Program The CONTRACTOR shall be required to comply with the City of Orlando's Minority & Women-Owned Business Enterprise Ordinance (Chapter 57) and Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) program (Chapter 7). The Supplementary Conditions establish requirements which must be achieved by the CONTRACTOR; certain required actions must be taken at least 10 days prior to bidding. The MBE/WBE Letters of Intent (see form in Supplementary Conditions) must be provided at the time of bid opening. If either or both the MBE/WBE goals are not met, MBE/WBE "good faith documentation must also be provided at the time of bid opening.
