Providing all materials and labor to construct approximately 3,300 linear feet of 18-inch HDPE sewer force main installed by pipe bursting, 1,600 linear feet of 18-inch HDPE sewer force main installed by open cutting, 3 combination air/vacuum release valves, one (1) 72-inch precast saddle manhole, approximately 60 linear feet of steel casing crossing a stream, and surface restoration as shown on the drawings. Technical questions regarding the plans and contract documents should be directed to Beacon Hill Water and Sewer District's consulting engineer, Gibbs & Olson, Inc., 1157 3rd Avenue, Suite 219, Longview, WA 98632 (Phone 360-425-0991, Fax 360-423-3162). All Bids must be submitted on the regular bid form furnished within the specifications, and each must be accompanied by a certified check or bidder's bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional bond(s) for the faithful performance of the work, as prescribed in the bidding documents. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory payment and performance bond within the time stated in specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited. Beacon Hill Water and Sewer District reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and waive any informality in the bids. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to Engineer. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
