Site work and paving for a road / highway in Wellington, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

This project on KTA (I-35) in Sumner County is for the application of High Friction Surfacing on the northbound and southbound curves near MM 12.9. This project includes surface preparation, surfacing, signing, pavement marking, and all other work shown in the plans. Bids will only be accepted by Contractors that are pre-qualified by the Kansas Department of Transportation. Proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of bid and made payable to the Kansas Turnpike Authority as guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and give a performance bond as required if awarded the contract. The award of each contract shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Standard Specifications of the Kansas Department of Transportation, edition of 2015, and will be based upon the summation of the products of the unit prices and the approximate quantities. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity therein, to determine which is the lowest responsible bid most suitable to the Authority. The Notice to Proceed shall not be issued earlier than June 10, 2024. CALENDAR COMPLETION DATE OF OCTOBER 11, 2024. CALENDAR COMPLETION DATE OF OCTOBER 25, 2024.
