Site work for a road / highway in Aurora, Colorado. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway.

The scope of the project is to design and construct a traffic signal at the intersection of Gun Club Road and Alameda Avenue. There has been substantial growth in the project area and what was once a rural intersection now sees significant vehicle delay due to substandard operations. The County has received numerous complaints from residents who cannot turn left on westbound Alameda Ave to southbound Gun Club Road during peak periods. Residents have also complained about the difficulty accessing driveways adjacent to these two roadways. This project will improve traffic operations and allow gaps in vehicle traffic to allow residents better access to these roads from their driveways. As of September 3, 2024, this project is included in the County's 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). No further information regarding a design firm or timeline for construction has been established. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
