Site work and paving for a civil project in Harleysville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and bridge / tunnel.

This project provides for the asphalt resurfacing for both eastbound and westbound of the Turnpike roadway between Milepost 340.08 and Milepost 345.73, and installation of signs and pavement markings, median barrier delineation devices, Sonic Nap Alert Pattern (SNAP), and maintenance and protection of traffic during construction. Work items include, but are not limited to: 247,876 SY Milling of Asphalt Pavement Surface, 1 1/2 " Depth 21,008 Ton Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Wearing Course 51,300 Each Sonic Nap Alert Pattern (SNAP) 927.25 SF Signs, Various Types 1,638 Each Delineation Devices 161,914 LF Permanent Pavement Markings 424,797 LF Temporary Pavement Markings 3,972 LF Pavement Marking Removal at concrete bridge decks Milepost 340.08 is located approximately 1.08 miles east of the Fort Washington Interchange, Exit 339, and Milepost 345.73 is located approximately 5.27 mile west of the Bensalem Interchange, Exit 351, in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The proposal are published electronically. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. The opening and listing of bids not meeting all the terms and conditions of the bid advertisement or bid procedures does not act as a waiver or modification of any requirements contained in the bid advertisement or bid procedure. The Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, together with the rates and regulations promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry applicable thereto, shall apply to this contract. Any questions for this project must be submitted electronically. Cost Range: $5,000,000.00 - $10,000,000.00 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Description - This work is providing an electronic ticketing (e-Ticketing) system for concrete, aggregate, asphalt deliveries to the project, to report individual and cumulative loads of material delivered. Description – This work is the furnishing, installation, maintenance, resetting and removal of Multi-Directional Lighting Devices (MDLD). This work consists of the removal and replacement of deteriorated asphalt and/or concrete pavement areas. All repairs must be for the full width of the lane. (a) Concrete Pavement Patching, Type 1 - Repair deteriorated concrete pavement below asphalt pavement patches by removing existing concrete and backfilling with Superpave binder to the level of existing adjacent concrete pavement. Repairs are to be a minimum length of 4 feet. (b) Asphalt Pavement Patching, Type A - Remove the existing asphalt material above the concrete pavement or to the level of adjacent concrete pavement and backfill with Superpave binder to the level of the existing adjacent surface. Place Superpave binder material without the use of a paving machine. Repairs are to be a minimum length of 4 feet to less than 10 feet. (c) Asphalt Pavement Patching, Type B - Remove the existing asphalt material above the concrete pavement or to the level of adjacent concrete pavement and backfill with Superpave binder to the level of the existing adjacent surface. Place Superpave binder material with a paving machine. Repairs are to be a minimum length of 10 feet. All work consisting of wood poles, concrete or metal (or substitutes therefore) poles or towers, including wires, cables or other apparatus supported therefrom. Installing and maintaining the catenary and trolley work on railroad property and bonding of rails. All outdoor substations, electrical connections and grounding including the setting of transformers and connecting the buses thereto, windmills and solar installations. Installation and maintenance of roadway lighting and traffic signals systems electronic signs, and intelligent transportation systems.
