As of July 10, 2024, project was awarded to George Koustas Painting Construction with base amount of $174,000.00 and Alternate No. 2 amount $110,000.00. Renovations to the Harrison Community Center, 401 Warren Street, Harrison, New Jersey GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: The project entails the miscellaneous renovations to the Harrison Community Center. The work includes the replacement of the rubberized flooring in the gym, exterior steps and sidewalk replacement, and replacement of the front entrance doors. BID SECURITY: Bid Security is required in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid, but not in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) CONSENT OF SURETY: Certificate from a Surety Company is required indicating consent to be bound as surety and guarantor for performance required under the Contract Documents. BID SUBMISSION PROCEDURES: Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form contained in the Contract Documents and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside with the name of project and the name and address of the Bidder. CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION: Bidders are required to submit a certificate from the New Jersey Department of Labor establishing that the bid is registered pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act (P.L. 1999, c.238) STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS: Bidders are required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, effective January 1, 1964, and with the requirements of P.L. 1975, C. 17(N.J.A.C. 17:27), Affirmative Action Program, and N.J.S.A. 10:2-1 et seq. All Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Bidder shall provide its New Jersey Business Registration Certificate and Contractor's Public Works Registration with its bid. REJECTION OF BIDS: The Town of Harrison reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or to waive any Bid defect where such defect is not detrimental to the best interest of the Town of Harrison and fairness of the bidding process. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Contract Documents.
