The City of Rapid City Public Works Department is requesting proposals to provide professional engineering services for design, bidding, and construction services for the proposed project. The Solid Waste Division is in need of professional engineering services for design, bidding, and construction for the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) Drum Electrical Room Improvements Project. The project will replace the existing main electrical service switchboard and electrical service conductors located in the MRF. The existing electrical equipment has reached the end of its useful life and needs replacement. The consultant will evaluate the existing conditions and will recommend/design the proper modifications to ensure that the new equipment meets current electrical and building codes. Coordination with the City and its consultants will be necessary to ensure the proposed improvements align with other planned and future projects at the MRF.
