Project Description Trenton Water Works is soliciting sealed bids from qualified experienced Contractors for emergency repair services work for pumps at the locations listed above on an "as needed and when requested" basis. Typical emergency pump repairs will be required where TWW staff is not able to make the required emergency repairs. This may include the repair or installation of pumps, piping, valves, and pump controls. This contract serves as a back-up to other service contracts held by TWW and its Contractors for the repair and maintenance of pumps and any other contracts mutually agreed upon by the contractor and owner. Contractor shall perform all labor, work, or other operations required for the fulfillment of the Contract, including tools and equipment, in strict accordance with the provision defined in these specifications and the American Public Works Association (APWA) standards. The Contractor shall have all of the necessary licenses to perform the work required the contract or shall subcontract the work requiring licenses. In either case, all work shall be performed under the necessary licenses. The bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000, payable unconditionally to the OWNER. When submitting a Bid Bond, it shall contain Power of Attorney for full amount of Bid Bond from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the OWNER. The check or bond of the unsuccessful bidder(s) shall be returned as prescribed by law. The check or bond of the bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall be retained until a contract is executed and the required performance bond or other security is submitted. The check or bond of the successful bidder shall be forfeited if the bidder fails to enter into a contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-21. Failure to submit this shall be cause for rejection of the bid.
