Renovation of a detention facility in West Boylston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
The project work consists of a reroofing of the existing Administration Building (Building #7) at the Worcester County Jail and House of Correction. The existing roofing is composed of EPDM over 1/2 " gypsum or polyisocyanurate. The existing system shall be removed. Remove rubber and metal flashings. Maintain existing gutters. Provide a new fully adhered EPDM over 1/2 " high density polyiso cover board, polyisocyanurate insulation, 1/4 " gypsum board, and a self-adhered rubberized vapor retarder. Replace plywood roof deck if found to be deteriorated on unit price basis. Provide additional safety rails where called for. Provide safety rail mounted to the existing roof hatch. Paint the existing roof hatch. Straighten leaning plumbing vents. At EIFS walls between the two roof levels, cut and reseal control joints. The Worcester Sheriff's Office reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
