The proposed responsibilities of the MEP Commissioner are listed below. A finalized list of these responsibilities will be incorporated into the agreement executed between the City of Lewiston and the selected respondent. The mechanical systems will be provided, installed, and programmed to function in a way that supports operations of this facility. The facility will incorporate a control system that will maximize energy efficiency and comfort. The control system will allow the users to make adjustments within pre-set parameters. The contractor and/or the contractor's vendor will train users, provide appropriate training for various user skill levels (see Maintenance below), and provide users with access to training materials thereafter Construction of the 9 Jaydee Way Fire Station is expected to break ground in the spring of 2024 and be completed by the spring of 2025 The City of Lewiston (Owner) is committed to commissioning this facility to systematically optimize the building and the ancillary systems. The Commissioning Agent (CA) will provide the signed letter template and suitable documents for the required credits before the termination of the contract. The CA will be hired by the Owner and report directly to the Owner Commissioning services provide the Owner with a quality assurance process that ensures building systems, equipment, and components are installed and operate in accordance with construction documents and the Owner's goals and requirements for the success of the project. Throughout the design, construction, and early occupancy phases, the CA shall coordinate with the architect, engineer, contractor, and Owner on scheduling to integrate commissioning activities into the overall project schedule for commissioning scope as per LEED reference guide.
