Stub State Park Banks-Vernonia Trail Question Deadline APRIL 24, 2024 at 2:00 PM The single point of contact ("SPC") for questions regarding the ITB, forms, bidding processes, changes, clarifications, requests for brand approval, substitution requests, the award processes, and any other issues that may arise, is Joshua Herron at (503) 953-0536 or email Joshua.A.Herron@oprd.oregon.gov Contractor shall furnish all permits, labor, equipment, tools, supervision, materials and incidentals required to complete the Work in accordance with the Plans, Specifications and terms as more fully described in the Contract Documents, including but not limited to the following: o All asphalt trail repairs and repaving work along the BV trail for this project will fall within per-approved archeological repairs and maintenance specifications identified in SHPO case # 20-0891 and supporting response letter (on file); o This project is intended to repave six bridge approaches (3bridges), one road crossing (both sides) and a section of linear trail heading south starting at Pongratz road through the Tolke property as far as the funding will allow; o All surface level pavement to be removed by contractor and disposed of offsite being careful not to remove existing gravel substrate; o Pavement sections being replaced are existing 3" thick x 8' wide trail sections to be replaced with same specifications as to not change the alignment or elevation of the existing railroad grade; o Final compaction of pavement and 3/4 minus gravel to meet normal industry compaction standards; o Pavement approaches at bridge crossings should flare to 10' where it intersects with bridges and should be level with the walking surface of the bridge; o Approaches need to meet predetermined lengths, be a smooth transition, and should not exceed 6 percent slope at any point as per existing design standards; o Bridge approaches and trial sections if needed can add 3/4 minus crushed gravel to fill any void areas from water erosion or settling on top of existing substrate within the existing footprint and design of the railroad grade and adjacent trail; o Gravel should be compacted throughout in accordance with industry standards before pavement is added; o Trail edges (shoulders) need to have gravel brought up to existing pavement height to meet initial and existing design standards; o Both shoulder and trail sections need to be compacted and level with the top grade of the trail when completed; o Gravel shoulder and trail areas need to taper or blend into the natural soil level when completed without disturbing, altering, or removing native soil or subsurface material; o Sections of the trail will be closed as needed during the paving process and public notification efforts will precede any closures; o All Bollards and survey markers will be left in place and paved around; and o Equipment and materials will be staged offsite in pre-programmed locations and no work on or to bridges will take place with this Project. o Bridge #(1) Mile Post .09 S Manning (Kuder Cr) Bridge - Asset 11486 - ODOT tracking number 21496 Access nearby private drive to West (need rating to determine if equipment can cross to do the other side of approach) Bridge #(2) Mile Post 5.5 - N Pongratz bridge - Asset 11547 - ODOT tracking number 21502 (East side has access road nearby - West side completed by hand) Bridge #(3) Mile Post 5.7 - S Buxton Bridge - Asset 11478 - ODOT Tracking number 21497 (West side has access from Buxton trestle - East side completed by hand). 1.
